Charity Water

http://www.charitywater.org/
Charity:water best exemplifies what huge difference good design can make.

It's funny that I stumbled into this organization now, because
somehow I've been very conscious of the water these days.
When I had to throw away my "left-over" water into the sink today,
I kinda felt guilty, was reminded of how fortunate I was,
and how the rest of the world is dying because
they can't have just this one cup of clean water.

And I found this charity:water non-profit organization.
Wow.

I was wondering why/how people in developing countries
develop tumors that are just too huge- they are literally as big as their faces.
I learned from Charity:water that the contaminated water that the people drink
is the main cause.
This really should stop happening. Really really really.
People drinking water out of mud puddles is just wrong.
I'm very glad and grateful that Charity:water is acting on it.

One thing that sets this non-profit apart from many other
is the design aspect.
As the founder, Scott Harrison, emphasized,
design plays an extremely important role here.

Had they had undesirable designs as most of charity organizations,
Saks or Theory probably wouldn't have been willing to work with them.
And many other people like us, too.
Simply put, their design aspect makes direct impact on the amount of $$ raised.

This is something I've been always thinking about-
And this falls into one of my themes:
"Express the most beautiful with the most beautiful."

This is just a perfect example of how good design can make a difference.
Another tag line that I just came up with:
"Good design makes your message to be heard."
