There's something about the peasantry lifestyle that's appealing.
It's got an organic, raw, and rustic appeal.
Yes, it's a romanticized view held by modern city dwellers
which distorts the reality of peasantry life which in fact was very taxing.

But be it historically misleading,
the simple, organic, rustic, peaceful imagery is undeniably inspiring
and has been a source of inspirations in food, fashion, art, etc.
This is probably why I like going into Anthropologie stores...
