Walk in Love

And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands.
As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

Enjoying Him Forever

Question. 1. What is the chief end of man?
- Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.
From Westminster Shorter Catechism

My Treasures Are in Heaven

My Treasures Are in Heaven (ver.2)
(this one is by another ms.chae, blood-related to me)

Store your treasures in heaven,
where moths and rust cannot destroy,
and thieves do not break in and steal.

Wherever your treasure is,
there the desires of your heart will also be.

Apologetics

By my logical nature,
I am interested in apologetics.
But I am well aware of its limitations.
Winning against non-Christians with "stronger" logic
doesn't lead to anywhere- it often hurts each other's pride and that's it.

The more I "experience" Jesus
through the Holy Spirit,

The more I feel stuck
as to how to explain and introduce Jesus to others in a way
that makes sense to them.

Many people have issues with the exclusive and arrogant claims of
Christians that
Christianity is the only true religion, only way to salvation.
This statement- that Jesus is the only way, truth, and life, and
that there is no salvation except through Him- is nonsensical
from a humanistic perspective,
but not from God's, as Jesus is God Himself in a human form.
(From a human perspective,
people don't even need/want salvation.
Heaven and hell are simply fantasies reserved
only for religious fanatics.)

While apologetics may be somewhat helpful in clarifying and refuting
the seemingly logical claims that try to prove
why Christianity, God, one way Jesus stuff are mere delusions,
it certainly will not win souls,

"[f]or the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.
Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar?
Where is the philosopher of this age?
Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom
did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of
what was preached to save those who believe."

1 Corinthians 1:18-20

I believe what's most important is
the attitude toward approaching the matter.
Depending on one's intention,
he will either find or refute Jesus.

Jesus is not an object of discussion, but of worship.
It is extremely unlikely that you will experience Jesus
as He really is
if your approach is that of a scrutinizing detective.
You have to become like a child feeling lost because
her daddy is not there with her.
Encountering, not collecting facts about, Jesus is what matters.

Christian doctrine sounds and is foolish to begin with.
It is not supposed to make sense to human ears.

I just pray that I won't use too much energy in convincing anyone.
Instead, I will use the time, energy, and effort to pray for the lost one.

"these I will bring to my holy mountain
and give them joy in my house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and sacrifices
will be accepted on my altar;
for my house will be called
a house of prayer for all nations."

Isaiah 56:7

"Serve the LORD with fear
and rejoice with trembling.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry
and you be destroyed in your way,
for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him."

Psalm 2:11-12

"Place me like a seal over your heart,

like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame."

Song of Solomon 8:6

I admire their ministry and
absolutely agree with their bridal paradigm.

Against the Spirit of Falsehood, of the Antichrist

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Hope for the Flowers

Stripe couldn't help wondering: "There must be still more to life."
"What's happening?"
"Nobody has time to explain," said the other. "They're busy trying to get up there."
"But what's at the top?" "No one knows that either. But it must be good. Because everybody's rushing there. Good-bye."
"There's only one way to find out," decided Stripe and pushed himself in.
"What's at the top? Where are we going?"
......
Frustrated, Stripe was still trying to justify his climb to himself when he heard a whisper from the top: "There's nothing here at all!"
It was answered by another whisper: "Quiet, fool! They'll hear you down. We're where they want to get. That's what's here!"
Stripe froze. To be so high and not high at all! It only looked good from the bottom.
The whisper came again: "Look! Over there! Another pillar. And... and another! Pillars everywhere!"
"My pillar," Stripe moaned, "is only one of thousands! Something is wrong, but what else is there?"

We people are stupid
We think we know what's important, what's good,
What will make us happy
We think we are smart
We are full of energies for wrong things,
Full of ourselves.
The truth of the matter is,
We're only fooling ourselves and each other,
Wanting to believe there's something
More to life than this,
Without knowing what that "more" is.
The innate thirst for becoming a butterfly is
The thirst God has put in everyone's heart.
But we chose to quench the thirst our way,
Without success. Not even once in the human history.

"My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water."
Jeremiah 2:13

One Way

One Way. PERIOD.

Salvation is found in no one else, for
there is no other name under heaven given to men
by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:12

Hosanna

12The next day the great crowd that had come
for the Feast heard that
Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem.
13They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,
"Hosanna!"
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"
"Blessed is the King of Israel!"

John 12:12-13

This is what I want to do right now:
wave palm branches & shout out loud.

Love Your Lord With

Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul
and with all your mind
and with all your strength.

Mark 12:30

In Spirit and Truth

22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know;
we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.
23 Yet a time is coming and has now come
when the true worshipers will worship the Father
in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers
the Father seeks.
24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship
in spirit and in truth."

I Have Food to Eat

But he said to them, "I have food to eat that you know nothing about."
"My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me
and to finish his work.

"Taste the Living Water.
Will You Never be Thirsty Again.
Promise."

37On the last and greatest day of the Feast,
Jesus stood and said in a loud voice,
"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
38Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said,
streams of living water will flow from within him."
39By this he meant the Spirit,
whom those who believed in him were later to receive...

My Treasures Are in Heaven

My treasures Are in Heaven!

19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy,
and where thieves break in and steal.
20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where moth and rust do not destroy,
and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:19-21

Reason for God

"All doubts, however skeptical and cynical they may seem,
are really
a set of alternate beliefs...

For example, if you doubt Christianity because

"There can't be just one true religion,"

you recognize that this statement is itself an act of faith.

No one can prove it empirically,
and it is not a universal truth that everyone accepts.

Every doubt, therefore, is based on a leap of faith."

"In fairness you must doubt your doubts.

...if you come to recognize the beliefs
on which your doubts about Christianity are based,
and if you seek as much proof for those beliefs
as you seek from Christians for theirs-
You will discover that

your doubts are not as solid as they first appeared."

"BUT it needs to be said that faith-journeys are never simply
intellectual exercises."
